For those interested in image transfer. Help, please?

Can you tell me a relatively easy technique that doesn’t involve xylene solvent, please?

I’ve used it before and the smell was awful. I’d do it again but at the moment I’m full of flu and I have a nasty chest. The transfer will go in a small sketchbook so an acrylic gel transfer might be an idea, but I’m not too sure about rubbing the original off with water.
